Saturday morning Kory and I decided to venture out to the local thrift shops in search of some unique/old/used furniture.  Personally, I do not really get excited about “digging” for stuff in stores, but for furniture I figured it could not be so bad.   (My Motto: It should all be in nice little rows where you can see it all in one walk through.)  After arriving too early to one shop, we went to check out Rolling Hills Ministry (http://www.rollinghillsministries.com/).  Over the years I have donated car loads by way of the drop off room , but I had never been inside the store.  Now that they have expanded, Kory and I were really curious to see everything they were offering to  our community.   I was blown away and I think Kory was too!  Rolling Hills is such an awesome ministry!  First of all when we got there, the parking lot was almost full and that says a lot.  Then when we walked it, I was awed by the organization of the entire store….for the most part not to have two items the same and keep things so streamlined was awesome!  I was drawn in and wanted to see more!  We ended up spending at least an hour shopping and left 3 bags full of stuff for $30!!  I am still so excited about my finds!!  More pictures to come in later posts to show off our “gold”. :)

We did end our day at another shop were I found an adorable outdoor children’s table and chairs that needed some TLC, but Kory was not feeling my same vibe about it.  So, the only thing we bought was a pair of $30 knee pads for only $1!!! Kory was soooo excited that he came home and finished scraping up our old 80s floor (recently pulled up all our flooring….).

All in all we had a great Saturday morning adventure even if we did not end up with anything we intended.  I am thinking next time we are going to try venturing to garage and/or estate sales….who am I?!?!  ;)

One of my great finds:

Wouldn’t this look better on someone?!?!!?
